The Darling

SJB’s project in Darlington provided an interesting structure to create an untamed native landscape within an urban context. The architecture resembles a nod to the art deco era and to contrast this we designed new dynamic geometric landscape zones with textured plantings to play with the negative spaces. Mature trees were implemented in order to offer the site verticality, balancing out the horizontal lines in the built form.
