Rose Bay 3

This incredible heritage Ficus superba var. henneana created a dramatic backdrop for our project in Rose Bay. The home was beautifully designed by Luigi Rosselli Architects (pre-tender) with lead architects Buck & Simple. This heritage-listed tree is a rare Port Hacking fig and is estimated to be as old as the late 1820s. To complement its scale, we took a restrained approach with a simple selection of species for underplanting, including Strobilanthes, Philodendron, Rhaphiolepis, Doryanthes. The lawn, within the important tree protection zone, created a softscape.
