Rochester Street Offices
Botany, Sydney
The landscape plays an integral role in softening the bold concrete forms, using native cascading and climbing plants that weave through the building’s facades, enhancing the raw materiality. The garden on the first floor demonstrates how natural materials achieve soil depth on slabs, supporting small Paperbark Trees that connect indoor and outdoor spaces. A strong native theme is evident throughout and the planting palette consists of a range of diverse native grasses, groundcover and shrubs alongside some feature Melaluca sp. And Eucalypt sp. Tree specimens dotted around the lower levels.
