Bondi 3

In collaboration with Andrew Burges Architects, this family home is thoughtfully designed to blur the boundaries between structure and garden. The living spaces revolve around a central courtyard with large doors that open to create a generous connection to the planting. Foliage is invited to cross over the threshold when the doors open, and a deciduous Japanese Maple brings solar amenity to the space, maximising light into the interiors during winter and providing shade through the hotter months. As the Maple grows the branching will reach the upper level, weaving greenery to the external spaces above.
